Software and Systems
We have worked for industry leading clients, such as TC Group, Korg, and Zoom, helping them build software and systems for world class audio products. We are a multi-disciplinary team with skills in hardware, software and firmware design. More specifically we specialize in audio systems development, software frameworks for audio products and audio processing algorithms.
We specialize in all aspects of audio product development, including both embedded systems based products and/or application software, and audio plugins (VST, AU, etc.). Whether you want to create an entirely new product or help with an existing one or line of products, we can help.
Platform Transition
Platforms are the heart of a line of products for a company. We understand that companies invest substantial resources into a particular platform from which their product lines are built upon. As newer more cost effective technologies emerge, it may make sense to move to another platform, but this poses significant risk.
We specialize in alleviating that risk and helping audio companies transition from their previous generation DSPs and micro-controllers to newer more cost effective ARM based solutions. We believe the future of DSP is ARM based solutions and we are investing our own resources into developing IP for a wide range of cost effective platforms based on ARM processors.
Vocal Processing
Shift Audio has over 30 years of experience working on Vocal Processing products. Our founders have all worked at TC-Helicon where they were integral in creating world class vocal processing products that dominated the market for years.
Vocal processing requires a high amount of DSP processing power as well as a large code base for implementing any pitch related vocal effects. Shift Audio possesses the know-how to create the latest generation (and beyond) vocal processing algorithms and to optimize it to run on the latest cost-effective ARM core processors.
We are actively working on creating a new class of vocal processing algorithms to span everything from the low end entry level processors to high end multi-core (DSP + micro replacement) solutions.
